Your Company Logo in Print
Not only can you support my writing, but you can write this off as advertising! In my next book, I will add a list of corporate sponsors. This list will appear in both digital and print versions.
Your company logo will appear in my next book, in both the digital and paperback version.
If you looked at the other things I’m selling, you are probably expecting me to joke around in this section. But I think it better I treat this one a bit more somberly.
First, I mentioned the possibility that you could “…write this off as advertising.” In the US, most companies and self-employed individuals can receive a tax break by writing off advertising expenses. That said, it’s important to note that I am not an accountant so you will need to consult the tax laws of your locality to confirm whether or not you can write-off advertising expenses.
Second, if your motivation for considering this is strictly for advertising purposes (vs a simple desire to support an author whose stories you enjoy), then you may be wondering about the potential reach.
For that all I can do is point to the circulation of my first book, Breaking Gravity (BG). Unfortunately, my record keeping has been pretty shoddy so I do not know exactly how many copies are out there. I can, however, say with absolute certainty that more than 20,000 have been distributed. I believe the actual total is about twice that.
In all seriousness, I’m just trying to find fun ways to raise some money here. The cost to produce one book will be $2,500. I’ve already tucked away $2,000. That means I’m only $500 away from my goal.
Thank you for your support,
Aaaah, now that’s a damn good idea! Why didn’t I think of that?!
Sure, I can do that. If you would like for me to add a link so that someone reading my book can see your logo, click on it, and go direct to your site, just bump the quantity up to two (2) before you hit the “ADD TO CART” button.
Preferably within two or three days after you signup. I’m currently in the editing phase for Breaking Destiny and it will go to press soon.
After you checkout, I will send you a little email to thank you for your support. That email will also contain the specifics of how/when I need you to get your logo to me.
I’m a firm believer that anything worth doing is worth doing right. For that reason, I make no promises. None whatsoever.
I’m very sorry about that, but please understand that I consider myself a man of my word and I do not make promises lightly. There are simply too many moving parts for me to give you a firm date with any accuracy.
My personal goal is to get Breaking Destiny out by the end of this Feb or early March (2019).
I reserve the right reject any applicant for any reason. Pretty please do not submit logos containing lewd, crude, or otherwise socially unacceptable material.
The same goes for your website. If you submit a logo with a website, I will go check it out. If I find a bunching of booby pictures up there I… well, I’ll probably spend a little more time there than I planned. Just to, you know, be sure it’s a booby site. But after that, I’ll have to reject your logo.
If you have any questions about this, please contact me before submitting. Thanks!
I am located in the US, within the state of Florida. If the “Ship To” address you specify is in Florida, then I am required to collect a 7% sales tax (6% for the state, 1% for the county).
If you pay for anything on my website with a credit card or Paypal, your receipt will say MoBetter Productions Inc (MBI).
Not to worry, MBI is my company. I own it.
The primary function of MBI is to collect the income from my day job, that of freelance graphic/web production. In the event my writing ever takes off, I am set up so that any income will also flow through the business.
